What is Reiki

Reiki is a Japanese word which means universal life energy or divine force from where life arises.

Reiki is a technique used to channel and transmit flows of energy, through the laying on of hands, in order to obtain peace and balance at all levels: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.

Reiki energy is sometimes referred to as being similar to radio waves and can be applied effectively both locally and remotely.

It is a harmless energy, without side effects, without contraindications and compatible with any type of therapy or treatment. Our purpose, when we apply Reiki is to rebalance the organism, trying to stimulate and promote a fluidity in all the energy meridians of our body, the Nadis.

Reiki, therefore, contrary to what many think, does not cure diseases but, more simply, it unblocks the flow of vital energy that contributes to our well-being, allowing those who receive it to channel their own positive vital energy and therefore to self- balance.

More info

If I had to explain what Reiki means to me, I would describe it as a bath of light, a kind of immersion in nothing and everything; a wave of heat that can upset, can clarify ideas, can help start over.

I believe Reiki was the most intense form of relaxation I have experienced.

It is important to remember that there are various currents and shades in Reiki; for this reason we must not approach this discipline with expectations.

Reiki practices can be very different from each other - what is important instead is to try to get carried away, putting aside for a moment our need to always have things under control.

The Reiki sessions I offer last about an hour and have no fixed price, but are paid by the practitioner with a voluntary offer.
